review 'The Judge’s List' by John Grisham

As a lawyer and best-selling international writer, John Grisham needs no introduction. Grisham is known for writing fascinating legal thrillers, which he bypassed in his 36th book "Sully", a thriller set in the world of basketball players. "Sooley" was released earlier in 2021, and Grisham is now returning with another legal thriller called "The Judges List." This new novel tells the story of Lacy Stoltz, the protagonist in Grisham’s early book Whistler.

In "Whistler," Lacey investigates a judge suspected of accepting large amounts of bribes. Lacey put the criminal in jail and almost lost her life in the process of achieving this feat. Lacey successfully solved her case. Three years later, Lacey was old and exhausted. When she met Jerry Crosby, she wanted to turn a new page in her career.

Jeri has been obsessed with the murder of her father 20 years ago, and has a suspect in her heart because she has been tracking him since the murder. During this time, Jerry also met someone who had lost a loved one.

Lacy was interested in Jeri's case and found that this person was easily suspected, but it was almost impossible to prove guilty. He is a perfect criminal, he knows his forensic, police procedures, and most importantly, he is the law, because he is a judge under Lacy's own jurisdiction! The judge has a carefully planned list, just like his plan, and is planning to remove people from the list in retaliation. Lacey needs to bypass this genius criminal, but the question is, how to do it?

Grisham’s new legal thriller is full of twists and turns, and is a fascinating page-turning novel that will keep readers obsessed to the end. Although this is Grisham's 37th book, this is his first story with a serial killer. "List of Judges" is a must-read book for fans of the author and anyone who wants to add a good thriller to this year's reading.

What critics think of this book:

Kirkus Reviews wrote, "A shiny messy gadget will definitely please many Grisham fans."

Stuart Shiffman wrote for Bookereporter.com: "Grisham takes you deeply into his story. You cheer for good people, worry about them, and you hate villains... Judge The list is a wonderful thriller that attracted your attention very early."
