review: 'Swimming Against The Tide' by Madhavi Latha Prathigudupu

Paralyzed below the shoulder at only 7 months, Madhavi continued to participate in the National Swimming Championships and won. S

he received spa treatment after a major life-threatening accident. The indomitable spirit and unremitting enthusiasm for chasing dreams enabled this little girl from Chennai to move on and build a reputation for herself and her community, making way for a fairer and more tolerant society.

 In order to help and encourage other people with different abilities like her, Madhavi launched an initiative called "Yes, we can too", through which she tries to encourage people to participate in sports for people with disabilities and bring them to their lives. Positive change.

 Her other initiatives include the establishment of the Tamil Nadu Paralympic Swimming Association (PSA) and the Wheelchair Basketball Federation of India (WBFI). However, without the endless love and support Madhavi received from her parents, all of this would be impossible.
